Challenges

Before implementing 1C:Drive, Schore Marine faced several operational challenges:

Manual ship data entry: For each order, ship details such as IMO number, vessel name, flag, ownership, and engine information had to be entered manually. This led to inconsistencies, missing data, and a high risk of errors. Most importantly, it was a waste of time and required strict controls. The lack of a unified structure also made coordination between departments — from sales, purchasing and accounting to finance — difficult and time-consuming.
Limited sales and receivables control: Each sales order included multiple items entered manually. Invoices existed only as print forms, and receivables had to be tracked separately in another accounting system, creating duplication and financial risk.
No stock and cost tracking: Spare parts and materials were not tracked systematically. The company had no clear visibility into stock levels, item costs, or allocation of parts to specific maintenance jobs or sales.
Lack of integrated finance and accounting: Income, expenses, and cash flow were tracked manually in Excel. This caused delays in internal and external reporting and made decision-making harder.
Weak interdepartmental coordination: Sales, purchasing, and accounting teams worked in isolation. Data was entered multiple times in different systems, leading to errors, communication gaps, and inefficiencies.

FB Group Türkiye implemented 1C:Drive Sales & Services to build a unified ERP covering operations for Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse Management, Finance, Pre-Accounting, Project Management, and Management Accounting.

Key improvements included:

Ship Information Catalogs: Ship data (IMO number, flag, owner, engine type, etc.) it is entered only once and this information can be reused in all operations. If the ships' data changes, this data is archived. Archiving allows these changes to be monitored, prevents information pollution and provides traceability.
Warehouse and Material Management: The Warehouse module was activated to manage stock movements (in/out, transfers, counts). Item costs and valuations are automatically calculated. Stock levels are visible in real time, minimizing emergency purchases and preventing shortages.
Automated Sales and Receivables Management: Orders now include bulk product and service uploads, reducing order creation time by 5x. Sales orders and invoices are fully digitalized, and receivables tracking is integrated into a single system, providing real-time visibility of balances and payments.
Integrated Finance and Accounting: Projects’ income, expenses, and profitability are now tracked within 1C:Drive. Managers and accountants can generate accurate reports and monitor cash flow and profitability in real time.
Enhanced Reporting and Communication:
With digital document management, all orders, invoices, cost reports and maintenance documents are stored within the system and easily accessible. With automatic report sending, reports can be obtained periodically and with the desired parameters. Departments can now share up-to-date and consistent data, thus accelerating coordination and reducing errors.
