Eratlar Makina is a manufacturing company based in Istanbul, specializing in the design and production of plastic injection molding machines.
The company produces both standard and custom machines ranging from 35 to 320 tons. Its business model is fully make-to-order, meaning each machine is built for a specific customer requirement.
Despite strong engineering expertise, most daily operations were managed manually — relying on Excel files, WhatsApp communication, and personal experience rather than structured systems.
Project Background
This project was implemented by the SmartBase team — a group of young specialists who completed the 1Ci Low-Code ERP Training for Software Developers.
During the program, participants learned to develop business applications on the 1C:Enterprise low-code platform, combining technical skills with an understanding of real ERP processes. Shortly after completing the training, the team was able to put this knowledge into practice by taking on a real implementation project using 1C:Jet.
Before development began, SmartBase conducted a comprehensive business assessment, gathering, analyzing, and documenting Eratlar Makina's requirements. This resulted in a detailed requirements document that provided a clear foundation for the implementation.
The project demonstrated how quickly the team progressed from training to professional practice: applying a structured approach from business analysis and requirements gathering to the development of a working solution addressing the customer's real operational needs.
